Succeeding U825 on January 1, 2016, the joint Inserm and Paul Sabatier University research unit, entitled “Toulouse Neuro Imaging Center”, has as it’s main objective the study of the human brain and the main pathologies that affect it.
It has long been believed that the brain, passing the first years of lifre, had very little capacity to compensate for the damage suffered. We now know that, thoughout life, the brain can adapt and even repair itself.
