ToNIC INSERM

MRI / Presentation

MRI, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging, is a medical exploration technique that allows non-invasive imaging of the human body.
Generally speaking, this technique is primarily used for clinical purposes and therefore under the supervision of a physician. For the research area that concerns us, and to which the Baudot Pavilion MRI is dedicated, researchers will always work in collaboration with a physician, according to various types of services.

The UMR Inserm/UPS 1214 ToNIC is equipped with a 3T Philips ACHIEVA dStream short-wave magnet MRI dedicated primarily to neuroscience research activities. Various stimulation equipment is installed (video projector, screen, response box, communication headset, physiological data sensor, etc.). This equipment can be expanded according to the needs of the various research areas being developed. Different antennas are available to cover varying fields of view. The MRI Platform recently acquired an Ultra Low Field (64 mT) Hyperfine Swoop MRI scanner.

The MRI Platform has been ISO9001:2015 certified since 2018.
This certification ensures that users are provided with services in compliance with Good Clinical Practices and reproducibility and traceability procedures. The Platform thus offers imaging services based on 3T MRI or Ultra Low Field MRI, open to all stakeholders in the academic or private socio-economic world.
