DEVIN team / Presentation

DEvelopment and Validation of biomarkers
in MRI and Nuclear Medicine

Team leader : Patrice Péran

Scientific objectives

The DEVIN team’s goal is to develop new neuroimaging tools that can be used in clinical and cognitive research (e.g., to improve the diagnosis of neurological diseases). The DEVIN team’s challenge is to combine methodological development, preclinical exploration, and clinical validation within a single group.

In short, the DEVIN team is a translational neuroimaging team.

Structure of the team

The team’s projects aim to continue developing innovative new neuroimaging tools.

The team also aims to explore new applications to validate the usefulness of imaging-derived biomarkers in various clinical areas.

Clinical Validation

Patient access is guaranteed by the dedication of numerous clinicians from Toulouse Hospitals within the team. The clinical validation stage is crucial for assessing sensitivity to various pathological changes. The 3T MRI platform dedicated to research, integrated into the ToNIC unit, and privileged access to the PET center and fluoridation platform at Toulouse Hospital, will allow us to carry out all of these projects under optimal conditions.
